Why I am Running
Ashburnham has been home for most of my life. I grew up here, went to school here, built my career here, and gained experience helping create a connected and resilient community. I am running for City Council because I am ready to serve the community I was raised in and the one that I am rooted in.
Over the years, I have seen what makes Ashburnham special: neighbours who look out for one another, families who put down roots, local businesses that bring life to our streets, and community members who step up when something needs doing. I have also seen how much stronger we are when people feel informed, included, and connected.
That is why I have spent years creating opportunities for people to come together—through online neighbourhood spaces, community events, local networking opportunities, advocacy, and initiatives that support both residents and businesses. Whether it is a neighbourhood yard sale, a scavenger hunt, a community meeting, or a conversation about an issue affecting our ward, I believe connection is where meaningful change begins.
I am running because I believe Ashburnham deserves a representative who is present, approachable, and ready to listen. Someone who understands our community, values its history and character, and is prepared to work hard for its future.
My experience in social services, non-profit program development, business, marketing, community organizing, and local advocacy has taught me how to bring people together, identify practical solutions, and turn ideas into action. I know that no single councillor can solve every challenge alone. Real progress requires collaboration—with residents, City staff, community organizations, local businesses, and fellow Council members.
If elected, I will work collaboratively and respectfully with Council to get things done for Ashburnham. I will be a strong voice for our ward while also looking for common ground and practical ways to move important priorities forward.
I want to help build a community where people feel they belong; where families have access to the services and public spaces they need; where local businesses and organizations can thrive; and where residents know their voice matters.
I am running because I care deeply about this community. I believe in Ashburnham’s potential, and I believe that by listening to one another and working together, we can build an even more vibrant, connected, and resilient Ashburnham.
